Akwa Ibom Police Smash Fraud Syndicate, Probe Herders' Attack

The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has made a significant breakthrough by smashing a fraud syndicate and launching investigations into a murder case and herders' attack. Three prime suspects, including Prince Francis Albert, Augustine Ernest Bassey, and Mbetobong Godwin, were arrested for their alleged involvement in defrauding politicians, security officers, and business leaders nationwide.

Albert, the gang leader, confessed to using fake identities to lure victims. The operation, led by Commissioner of Police CP Baba Mohammed Azare, aimed to clamp down on violent crimes and fraud activities in the region.

The suspects were apprehended in Ibesikpo Asutan after a month of technical surveillance.
