Enugu Police Arrest Ugbor Paul for Serial Rape and Robbery

The Enugu State Police Command announced the arrest of 30-year-old Ugbor Paul for alleged serial rape, armed robbery, and sextortion targeting female Point-of-Sale operators in Enugu metropolis. The arrest was confirmed by SP Daniel Ndukwe.
Investigations revealed that Paul lured victims to secluded locations under the guise of high-value cash transactions. His first victim, a 20-year-old POS operator, was assaulted on May 21, 2026, after being robbed of N600,000.
A second victim, a 30-year-old from the same market, was targeted on August 11, 2026, and robbed of N120,000. On October 4, 2026, he used a fraudulent Facebook profile to lure a 21-year-old woman, whom he raped and robbed of N100,000 and her mobile phone.
He then demanded N200,000 to suppress recorded footage of the assault. Ongoing investigations are expected to lead to charges against Paul, with CP Mamman Giwa urging victims of similar crimes to report to the police.
