Gombe Police Arrest Tenant Over Alleged Murder of Neighbor in Kundulun Quarter

In Gombe, Nigeria, the Gombe State Police Command confirmed the arrest of a 37-year-old tenant, Bello Abubakar, in connection with the alleged murder of a 38-year-old woman, Maryam Hassan, in Kundulun Quarter. Maryam was found with severe head injuries in front of her residence early on a Tuesday.

The police spokesperson, Buhari Abdullahi, stated that the suspect confessed to the crime after items belonging to the victim were recovered during the investigation. The suspect was found with a blood-stained shirt and the victim's mobile phone.

The State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) is conducting further investigations, with the Commissioner of Police, CP Umar Chuso, assuring the public of the command's commitment to pursuing justice diligently.
