Prominent Enugu Politician Prince Ikechukwu Oloto Killed

Prince Ikechukwu Oloto, also known as “Okanga Mo,” was confirmed dead by the Enugu State Police Command after being found in a pool of blood at his residence in Odenigbo, Nsukka. The police received a report on September 17, 2026, at approximately 5:45 p.m., indicating that Oloto, aged about 53, had sustained deep suspected machete cuts to his head and stomach.

SP Daniel Ndukwe, the command’s spokesperson, stated that Oloto was rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced dead by the attending doctor. His remains have been deposited at a mortuary for preservation and autopsy.

The police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding his murder and have initiated a manhunt for the assailant(s). Reports suggest that Oloto was attacked inside his residence on the evening of September 16, although the exact details of the attack remain unclear.
