Enhanced Security in Yola for Tinubu's Upcoming Visit

Ahead of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's scheduled visit to Adamawa State, the Adamawa State Police Command has implemented heightened security measures across Yola. A statement released on Saturday by the command's public relations officer, Suleiman Nguroji, indicated that specialized units have been deployed to strategic locations, particularly around the state capital.

The Commissioner of Police, Dankwambo Morri, convened a strategic session with senior officers to reassess and reinforce existing security arrangements as part of a renewed security architecture. The operation includes the mobilization of police forces, counter-terrorism units, surveillance squads, and crowd control teams mandated to conduct covert surveillance and maintain a visible presence.

Traffic restrictions will be enforced in select areas to limit vehicular movement around the event venue until the conclusion of the activities. The command has appealed to residents to cooperate with security personnel and remain vigilant, urging the public to report any suspicious movements or activities to the nearest police station.
