Lagos Police Update: Fake 'Obi of Lagos' Arrested for Fraudulent Palace Scheme

The Lagos State Police Command provided an update on the arrest of Engr Chibuike Azubike, who claimed to be the 'Obi of Lagos' and allegedly planned a fraudulent event at the Apple Hall in Amuwo Odofin, Lagos. Investigations revealed Azubike is a qualified engineer and not a traditional ruler, with no legitimate chieftaincy authority backing him.

The suspect confessed to being a construction material supplier and admitted to planning the unveiling of a fake 'Obi of Lagos Palace' to deceive people for financial gain. The police urged the public to disregard his claims and warned against falling for misleading information on social media.
