Gunmen Attack Ngige's Convoy in Anambra, Injuring Police Officer and Civilian

Gunmen attacked the convoy of former Anambra Governor Chris Ngige along the Nkpor-Nnobi road, injuring a police officer and a civilian. The assailants, dressed in police and army uniforms, opened fire on the convoy, resulting in casualties.

One woman was tragically shot dead at the scene. The injured are receiving treatment, with one undergoing surgery to remove a bullet.

Anambra State Police Command has not yet released an official statement on the incident.
