Nigeria Police Train 100 EOD-CBRN Operators in Nasarawa

The Nigeria Police Force conducted a training program for 100 Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (EOD-CBRN) operators, which concluded in Eggon Local Government Area, Nasarawa State. The Acting Inspector General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, reaffirmed the commitment to modernize the police force to ensure security and safety across Nigeria.

The training, which was part of a nationwide strategy, aimed to strengthen the nation's preparedness against explosive and CBRN threats. Hauwa Jibrin Ibrahim, the Commissioner of Police in charge of EOD, noted that the course equipped participants with critical competencies required to address evolving threats associated with improvised explosive devices and hazardous materials.

The training program, sponsored by the Nigeria Police Trust Fund, represents a strategic step toward realizing a vision of a professional, technologically driven police force. The participants were urged to apply their newly acquired knowledge while adhering to professional ethics and safety protocols.
