Nigerian Police Urge #FreeNnamdiKanu Protesters to Obey Court Order in Abuja

The Nigerian Police Force has called on #FreeNnamdiKanu protesters to comply with a recent court order restricting demonstrations near key government locations in Abuja. The Federal High Court in Abuja, presided over by Justice M.G.

Umar, issued the order in response to a suit involving the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Omoyele Sowore and others. The police emphasize upholding the rule of law, ensuring public safety, and respecting citizens' rights to peaceful assembly.

Security personnel are deployed to maintain order and warn against violence or any acts that could disrupt public peace. Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun directs the enforcement of the court order to guarantee residents' safety and advises protesters to avoid restricted zones.
