Nigerian Police Accused of Worsening PDP Crisis, Prof. Udenta Alleges

Professor Udenta O. Udenta has accused the Nigerian Police of worsening the crisis within the People's Democratic Party (PDP) by actively destabilizing the party's operations.

The allegations arose following clashes between two rival factions at the PDP secretariat in the Federal Capital Territory, where security personnel reportedly fired gunshots and deployed tear gas to disperse the crowd. Udenta highlighted the police's role in enabling one faction to occupy the PDP secretariat, leading to chaos and panic among party members.

The incident also involved the son of the new PDP chairman, Tanimu Turaki San, lodging a complaint with the police. This development raises concerns about the police's impartiality and involvement in political affairs.
