Governor Yusuf Promotes Political Harmony in Kano

During a special prayer session held at the Government House in Kano on October 4, 2023, Governor Yusuf highlighted the growing political harmony in the state. The session, which included Quranic recitation, aimed to promote peace and unity among residents.

Governor Yusuf, through his spokesperson Sunusi Batur Dawakin Tofa, noted that the prayers have already yielded positive results, citing the attendance of Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin at a recent state function as a sign of improved political unity. He expressed hope that the fervent prayers offered during the session would lead to amicable resolutions of disputes, particularly concerning the emirate.

Governor Yusuf pledged to do everything within his power to unite political actors in Kano and urged them to embrace mutual respect and understanding. He also reaffirmed his administration's commitment to tackling youth involvement in criminal activities and ensuring the implementation of projects that positively impact residents' lives.

Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin commended the governor's initiative to organize the prayer program, encouraging other states to follow Kano's example.
