Falae Advocates for Governorship Return to Ondo Central

Sunday Falae, the African Peoples Movement (APM) candidate for the Ondo Central Senatorial District, has called for the governorship of Ondo State to return to the central senatorial district following the current administration. He argues that Akure, the state capital since 1976, has not produced an elected governor and deserves the opportunity.

Falae noted that while the current political contest is for the Senate, the issue of equitable power rotation cannot be overlooked. He highlighted that the North and South Senatorial Districts have had multiple governors, while Akure has been politically marginalized for nearly 50 years.

Falae expressed his commitment to effective representation and plans to establish constituency offices in every local government within Ondo Central if elected. He emphasized that representation should extend beyond lawmaking and that personality and grassroots acceptance will be crucial in the upcoming elections, dismissing claims that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has already secured victory.
