Igbo Imam Backs Gov's Sermon Vetting, Emphasizes Governance Role

Imam Haroun Eze of the National Mosque in Abuja supported Governor Umar Bago of Niger State's directive for preachers to submit their sermons for vetting by the government. Speaking on Arise Television's Prime Time program, Imam Eze, the first Igbo Imam at the National Mosque, endorsed the regulation of preaching as a welcome development, emphasizing the importance of religious leaders working with the government to address social, economic, and security issues.
