Premier Paints Plc Appoints New Board Chairman and Directors

Premier Paints Plc has filed a corporate action notice disclosing the retirement of three board directors effective 31st August 2026 and the appointment of four new directors approved on the same date. The filing details the profiles of the incoming directors, including a new Board Chairman, and notes that the appointments are subject to ratification at the Annual General Meeting.

Premier Paints Plc (PREMPAINTS) notified the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX), shareholders, and the public on 14th September 2026 of significant changes to its board composition. Three directors — Mr. Adedoyin Adeyinka, Dr. M.K.O.

Balogun, and Mr. Ajayi Oluyemi — retired from the board effective 31st August 2026. The board approved four new appointments on the same date, all pending ratification at the Annual General Meeting.

Mr. Emeka Ene, CEO of the Oida Group and a former chairman of the E&P Committee of the International Gas Union, was appointed Board Chairman. Mr. Adebowale Fagbemi, a mechanical engineering graduate with an MBA from Henley Business School and 28 years in oil and gas, joins as Non-Executive Director.

Dr. John Erinne, a chemical engineer with 30 years of experience and a PhD from Loughborough University, was also appointed Non-Executive Director. Mrs. Doseke Akporiaye, Executive Director of WRISE in the United States and holder of an Executive MBA from INSEAD, completes the quartet as Non-Executive Director.
