Nigerian Presidency Disburses N2.45 Trillion for Security and Infrastructure Projects

The Nigerian Presidency, through spokesperson Daniel Bwala, announced the disbursement of N2.45 trillion to 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) for security and infrastructure projects from March 2024 to August 2025. The funds were utilized to improve roads, bridges, schools, health facilities, and security operations nationwide.

President Bola Tinubu's administration emphasized restoring security, peace, and prosperity in the 2025 budget, focusing on infrastructure, health, education, and job creation. The Presidency highlighted the importance of transparency and efficient fund utilization to accelerate energy, transport, public works, and enhance living standards.

Additionally, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) criticized opposition politicians, particularly the ADC, following Nigeria's recognition in the global tech space, with Lagos ranking among the world's top 20 fastest-growing emerging technology ecosystems. Special Adviser to the President on Information Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, rebutted negative narratives about Nigeria's economic and governance outlook, emphasizing the country's strength in the international digital economy.
