Presidency Denies Alleged Poison Plot Against Tinubu

The Nigerian Presidency has addressed and dismissed viral claims circulating on social media regarding an alleged plot to poison President Bola Tinubu. The claims suggested that a member of the kitchen staff at the Presidential Villa in Abuja was detained following a supposed attempt to poison the President.

Bayo Onanuga, a special adviser to the President, firmly debunked these allegations, stating that the story is entirely false and misleading. He emphasized that there were no arrests of kitchen staff at Aso Rock and urged the public to ignore the fake news disseminated through a trending video.

The narrative included claims of a special police squad intervening due to heightened security measures within the Presidential environment, but Onanuga clarified that these claims were unfounded and based on misinformation.
