Tinubu to Lead Africa's Economic Talks in Kenya

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to spearhead Africa's economic transformation talks at the 2026 France-Africa Summit in Nairobi, Kenya. His participation aims to advance Nigeria's economic reform agenda and strengthen partnerships for sustainable growth across Africa.

Presidential spokesperson Daniel Bwala stated that the summit is strategically significant, coinciding with a period when African countries are pursuing critical reforms to create conducive investment climates. The discussions will focus on seven thematic areas closely aligned with Tinubu's Renewed Hope agenda, which includes international financial restructuring, artificial intelligence, agriculture, and the blue economy.

Bwala emphasized that Nigeria's vast agricultural land and youth population present significant opportunities for innovation-driven growth. The summit aims to encourage African nations to build prosperous economies independent of foreign dependence.

Tinubu's leadership is expected to showcase Nigeria's ongoing reform practices, particularly in finance and agriculture, as examples for other African countries to emulate.
