Ogbonnaya Praises Sunshine Queens' Cup Performance

Divin Ogbonnaya, the chairman of the Ondo State Football Agency, commended Sunshine Queens FC for their impressive run in the President Federation Cup, describing it as the club's best campaign since 2015. The team reached the semi-finals but was eliminated by Nasarawa Amazons.

Ogbonnaya credited the team's determination and resilience for their performance, highlighting the positive turnaround under the technical guidance of coach Tayo Onilud. He praised Onilud and the technical crew for their immense credit in improving the team's tactics, discipline, and confidence.

Ogbonnaya noted that the players displayed a fighting spirit, indicating the hard work put in by the coaching staff. The final of the 2026 President Federation Cup is set to take place in Asaba next month, where Heartland Queens will compete.
