Tinubu Attends Africa-France Summit in Nairobi, Kenya

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu arrived in Nairobi, Kenya, on May 12, 2023, for the Africa-France Summit, landing at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport at 12:30 PM. He was accompanied by senior Nigerian government officials, including Taiwo Oyeleke (Minister of Finance), Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu (Minister of Foreign Affairs), and Abubakar Kyari (Minister of Agriculture).

The summit, taking place at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre, is co-chaired by French President Emmanuel Macron and Kenyan President William Ruto, and involves 30 African heads of state. It aims to address critical issues such as energy transition, climate resilience, and economic transformation.

Following the summit, President Tinubu is expected to proceed to Kigali, Rwanda, for the annual Africa CEO Forum scheduled for May 14-15, 2023. The forum will gather 2,000 business executives and political leaders to discuss strategies for accelerating Africa's economic transformation.

Tinubu plans to deliver a keynote statement on Nigeria's economic reforms and investment opportunities.
