Tinubu and CAF President Discuss Football in Kenya

Nigerian President Bola Tinubu met with Confederation of African Football (CAF) President Patrick Motsepe on Tuesday during the Africa Forward Summit in Nairobi, Kenya. The leaders discussed various topics, particularly focusing on enhancing collaboration in football governance and the role of the private sector in developing Nigeria and the African continent.

Tinubu arrived in Nairobi on Monday, marking his second visit to Kenya since July 2023, as part of a three-nation tour that began with a stop in France. During his visit to France, he met with global investors and reaffirmed Nigeria's commitment to fiscal discipline and economic reform.

The Africa Forward Summit, co-chaired by French President Emmanuel Macron and Kenyan President William Ruto, took place from May 11 to May 12, focusing on energy transition, green industrialization, digital transformation, and climate action. Tinubu is expected to hold high-level bilateral meetings with top African business leaders during the summit and will proceed to Kigali, Rwanda, for the annual Africa CEO Forum scheduled for May 14-15.
