Tinubu Launches New Road to Enhance Abuja's Infrastructure

On Wednesday, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu inaugurated a newly constructed collector road, designated as C01, in Abuja, which links Baze University and Nile University within the Institute Research District. This initiative aims to enhance access, safety, and the learning environment for students and staff.

During the inauguration, President Tinubu described infrastructure as a key driver of economic growth and noted that improved road networks stimulate investment and expand development opportunities. He urged the management and staff of the universities to protect the facilities and reiterated the administration's commitment to investing in the city, satellite towns, and rural communities to ensure that Nigerians benefit from good governance.

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, expressed his commitment to delivering quality infrastructure worthy of the nation's capital and reaffirmed the administration's resolve to ensure every district benefits from the federal government's infrastructure drive. The collector road, a 1.5-kilometer stretch, is expected to provide a critical alternative route and improve connectivity among public and private institutions in the area, with completion targeted for October 2025.
