Tinubu Commits to Quality Infrastructure at COREN Assembly

At the 34th COREN Engineering Assembly, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu reiterated the federal government's unwavering commitment to strengthening engineering regulations and promoting quality infrastructure to safeguard public safety across Nigeria. He highlighted the assembly's theme as timely for the nation's development aspirations.

President Tinubu assured that the administration remains fully committed to completing four legacy road projects across six geopolitical zones, which are part of the Renewed Hope Agenda aimed at transforming the economy and improving connectivity. He emphasized that engineering regulations are not intended to punish professionals but to protect public interest.

Minister David Umahi stressed the need for stronger regulatory frameworks and strict enforcement against unqualified practitioners to uphold ethical standards in the profession. The assembly underscored the critical role of engineering in maintaining public trust and ensuring that infrastructure projects meet approved standards throughout their lifespan.
