President Tinubu’s Minister Gives Condition For Igbo Presidency

Former Ebonyi State Governor David Umahi, now a Minister, has advised the people of the South East to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027 if they genuinely desire an Igbo presidency in the future. Umahi emphasized that the expectation of an Igbo presidency in 2027 is unrealistic and that the region should strategically align with Tinubu to achieve this goal.

He urged political leaders and the broader Igbo community to embrace unity and collaboration, stating that supporting Tinubu's second term would foster mutual trust and national integration, essential for a future Igbo presidential bid. Umahi praised Tinubu's leadership style as fair and inclusive, noting that every region, including the South East, has benefited from his administration.

He also highlighted the importance of unity within the region to strengthen its bargaining power nationally. Umahi concluded by emphasizing that working together is the credible path to realizing an Igbo presidency in the near future.
