Sunday Dare Criticizes Atiku for Insulting Tinubu

Sunday Dare, the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Media and Public Communication, condemned former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar for addressing President Tinubu as "Bola," which he deemed "the height of insolence." This statement followed Atiku's comments at a press conference in Abuja, where he urged Tinubu to implement a government intervention to reduce petrol prices, suggesting that Tinubu could rename the initiative to take credit for it. Dare responded by criticizing Atiku's manner of addressing the sitting President and accused him of political hubris.

He further stated that Atiku was not qualified to lecture the current administration on fiscal management due to his history of political opportunism. Dare defended the Tinubu administration's economic reforms, emphasizing the need for foundational changes to address the economy's structural issues.

He also questioned Atiku's motives, suggesting that his proposal was a strategy to gain electoral advantage amid economic challenges.
