Nigerian comedian and content creator Carter Efe stated that social media pressure played a significant role in the marriage of Peller and Jarvis, which he described as “pure content.” During an interview with Madam Joyce, he suggested that the couple's decision to marry was influenced by their online audience, warning that they might regret allowing such pressure to dictate their relationship. Carter also mentioned his absence from their wedding, claiming he was not invited due to a negative perception of him by the couple.

Peller and Jarvis, who developed their relationship and careers on TikTok, held their traditional marriage on August 1 and their white wedding on August 8. Carter expressed that he would not date a content creator due to the pressures associated with social media.

He shared his own experiences of feeling emotionally drained by the expectations of followers, stating that he had to take control of his personal life to avoid being influenced by online comments.
