ADC Criticizes APC Over Membership Inflation Claims

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has expressed amusement and criticism towards the All Progressives Congress (APC) regarding its alleged inflation of membership figures in preparation for the 2027 presidential elections. ADC spokesperson Bolaji Abdullahi stated that the APC's claims of having between 11 million to 30 million members are laughable and set the stage for rigging.

Abdullahi emphasized that the ADC's presidential primary process is transparent and credible, with a current membership of approximately 3.4 million registered members submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). He noted that the ADC is committed to ensuring that the best candidates emerge from its primaries, which are set to culminate in the announcement of a winner.

The party's leadership, including former Senate President David Mark and former Osun State Governor Rauf Aregbesola, has been involved in ensuring a fair electoral process. The ADC aims to demonstrate its commitment to internal democracy during this election cycle.
