Private Sector Advocates Data-Driven Industrial Policy

During a high-level panel at the Nigeria Employers' Consultative Association (NECA) summit, private sector leaders underscored the necessity of data-driven approaches for the effective implementation of Nigeria's industrial policy. Ms.

Nanci Illoh Nnaji, who anchored the session, and Mr. Segun Ajayi Kadir, the Director General of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, described the industrial policy as a landmark achievement that clearly outlines critical areas for transforming Nigeria's industrial landscape.

Mr. Ad Adefeko stressed the importance of moving beyond raw commodity exports to focus on value-added products.

The panel discussed the need for a public scorecard review, expected in the first week of July, to assess the progress of economic reforms and the implications for industrial development, trade, and investment promotion.
