Protest Erupts in Kaduna Community Over Bandit Abduction of Seven Individuals

In Kaduna, residents of Danhonu II community in Millennium City suburb protested after bandits abducted seven people during a late-night attack. The victims, including members of two families, were identified as Malam Yahaya Yusuf, his wife Latifat Yusuf, two sons, and others.

This incident marks the 11th kidnapping case in the community in recent months. The protesters called for thorough investigations and collaboration with security agencies to address the escalating wave of abductions.

The Chairman of Danhonu II Landlord Association, Akoh Salifu, expressed concern over the persistent attacks, urging law enforcement to establish a police outpost in the community. The Kaduna State Police Command spokesperson, Mansir Hassan, confirmed the incident and detailed the police response, including deploying personnel to the scene.

The Commissioner of Police, Rabiu Muhammad, visited the area to engage with community leaders and assess the security situation.
