Women Protest After 24 Killed in Plateau State Attack

On Tuesday, women from the Bin-Per community in Ruff, Kombun District of Mangu Local Government Area, Plateau State, staged a peaceful protest following the killing of 24 individuals by gunmen. The victims were given a mass burial on the same day, while several others who sustained injuries were receiving treatment in hospitals.

Protesters, led by Mrs Ladi Joshua, expressed their devastation over the loss of family members and called for urgent government intervention to protect their community. Comr.

Kyesmang Jonathan, President of the Mwaghavul Youth Movement, confirmed that 24 victims had been buried and highlighted the ongoing medical attention for the injured. He condemned the attack as a painful loss and urged government and security agencies to take immediate action to safeguard vulnerable communities and prevent further violence.

Jonathan also extended condolences to the families of the deceased and emphasized the need for justice against the perpetrators of the attack.
