Peter Obi Donates N10m to Kogi Nursing School

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), donated N10 million towards the establishment of a Skills Laboratory Centre at Grimard College of Nursing Sciences located in Ayingba, Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State. Obi made this announcement in a Facebook post on Sunday, recounting his visit to the institution on Saturday, 15 August.

He noted that his donation was part of his ongoing support for the nursing institution, which had previously faced accreditation threats due to the lack of a bus for students’ clinical placements. Obi's earlier intervention, which provided a school bus, enabled the institution to retain its accreditation and continue training healthcare professionals.

He emphasized the importance of investing in education and healthcare, describing them as critical sectors for national development. Obi urged governments to prioritize these sectors and called on individuals and organizations to contribute to public efforts.
