APC Urges ADC to Resolve Internal Crisis Responsibly

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has urged the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to address its internal crisis rather than blaming President Bola Tinubu. During a press conference in Abuja, APC's Public Secretary Ajibola Basiru stated that ADC's failure to manage its leadership disputes is detrimental to the party's credibility ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Basiru dismissed ADC's accusations against Tinubu and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), asserting that the ADC's issues stem from a lack of internal democracy and disregard for court orders. He noted that the ADC's leadership crisis began when a faction led by David Mark allegedly assumed control without stakeholder involvement, leading to litigation.

Basiru emphasized that INEC acted within legal bounds and warned ADC against defying court orders, labeling such actions as reckless. He also highlighted the need for political parties to earn public trust through electoral performance rather than rhetoric.
