APC Urges ADC to Resolve Leadership Crisis Independently

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has publicly advised the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to address its internal leadership crisis independently, without implicating President Bola Ahmed Tinubu or the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). During a press conference on Friday at the APC national secretariat, Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru, a representative of the APC, characterized the ADC's claims, particularly those from the faction led by David Mark, as baseless and a misguided attempt to mislead the Nigerian public.

Basiru rejected assertions that Tinubu was working to weaken opposition parties ahead of the 2027 elections, emphasizing that Nigeria has 19 registered political parties capable of contesting elections. He noted that the crisis within the ADC is self-inflicted and warned that their actions could be deemed illegal, as court orders remain binding until overturned.

The APC urged the ADC to focus on resolving its leadership disputes rather than blaming external actors.
