Stephen Manu briefly lifted Rivers United's hopes with a goal, but Pyramids quickly equalized through Mostafa Fathi before taking control of the match. Marwan Hamdi's penalty kick put Pyramids ahead, with further goals from Awda Al Fakhouri and Nasser Maher sealing an emphatic victory.

The win confirmed Pyramids' top spot in the group with 13 points, while Rivers United, managed by Finidi George, remained at the bottom.
