Pyramids FC emerged victorious with a 4-1 win over Rivers United at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, Nigeria, securing the top spot in the 2025-26 CAF Champions League group stage. The Egyptian side displayed a powerful performance in the second half, overturning a first-half deficit to clinch a comeback victory.

Stephen Manu opened the scoring for Rivers United in the 33rd minute, but Pyramids FC responded strongly in the second half. Mostafa Fathi, Mostafa Zico, Marwan Hamdi, and Nasser Maher scored for Pyramids FC, sealing their qualification to the quarter-finals.

Finidi George's side remains at the bottom of the group with one point and has been mathematically eliminated from the competition. Pyramids FC will face Power Dynamo in the quarter-finals, while Rivers United will aim to end their continental campaign on a positive note against Moroccan champions RS Berkane.
