Qatar Denies Imposing New Visa Restrictions on Nigerians - Ministry Clarifies Procedure

Qatar's Ministry of Interior has refuted claims of imposing new visa restrictions on Nigerian passport holders. The Ministry clarified that Nigerians are still eligible to apply for visas following the existing procedure, contrary to viral rumors.

Allegations suggested that male travelers needed to be accompanied by a family member, while female travelers required additional documentation. These speculations were linked to concerns over Nigerian travelers overstaying in Qatar.

However, Hayya Qatar, an official digital platform service, confirmed that the visa application process remains unchanged. The recent surge in Nigerian visitors to Qatar has made it a popular travel hub, especially after the suspension of direct flights between Nigeria and the United Arab Emirates.
