Nigerian Authority Threatens Sanctions on Qatar Airways for Passenger Mistreatment

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has issued a warning to Qatar Airways over alleged mistreatment of a Nigerian passenger. The passenger's complaint revealed that the airline violated consumer rights and failed to comply with regulations.

The incident involved a male passenger traveling with his wife, who was accused of misconduct by a cabin crew member during a flight from Lagos. Despite the passenger's refusal to purchase a new ticket, he was fined, detained, and forced to sign a document in Arabic.

The NCAA deemed the airline's conduct unacceptable and vowed to take action, emphasizing the need for respect and compliance with regulations to ensure passenger rights are upheld.
