Rangers Take NPFL Lead After Victory Over El Kanemi

Enugu Rangers have ascended to the top of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) after a decisive 2-0 home win against El Kanemi Warriors. This victory allows Rangers to leapfrog Rivers United, who now sits in second place with 52 points from 31 matches.

Rangers currently lead the league with 54 points. Meanwhile, Nasarawa United, despite their efforts, failed to secure a win against the solid miners, suffering a 4-1 defeat to Rivers United.

This leaves Nasarawa United in third place with 50 points. Ikorodu City follows in fourth with 49 points.

The bottom team, Kun Khalifa, ended their match in a 2-2 draw, while defending champions Remo Stars recorded a significant win against Kwara United, who are now close to safety with 36 points from 31 games. Other notable matches included Enyimba's 2-0 loss to Kano Pillars and Abia Warriors' 2-1 victory over Tornado.
