Rashford and Mainoo Join Manchester United Pre-Season Squad

Marcus Rashford and Kobbie Mainoo have officially joined Manchester United's pre-season squad as they prepare for the 2026/27 campaign. Both players reported to the club's Carrington training base on Sunday morning before traveling to Dublin on a private jet with Michael Carrick's squad.

Rashford and Mainoo were part of England's squad at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which Spain won. Their arrival provides Carrick with additional options as the team intensifies its preparations for the new season.

The duo is expected to focus on building their fitness and integrating into the squad following their World Cup participation. Alongside Rashford and Mainoo, the traveling party included senior players and young prospects such as Matheus Cunha, Matthijs de Ligt, Benjamin Sesko, and Senne Lammens, as well as goalkeeper Karl Darlow and youngsters JJ Gabriel and Tynan Thompson, completing a nine-man contingent.

The players will join the rest of Carrick's squad in the Republic of Ireland for continued pre-season training.
