Real Madrid to Sign Chelsea's Marc Cucurella for €55M

Real Madrid is set to sign Marc Cucurella from Chelsea for a reported fee of €55 million. The 27-year-old left-back, who previously played for Brighton, joined Chelsea in 2022.

Cucurella's move to Real Madrid comes as the club's president, Florentino Perez, recently appointed Jose Mourinho as coach after a two-season period without winning a major trophy. Chelsea finished 10th in the Premier League last season, marking a disappointing campaign.

Cucurella has faced criticism during his time at Chelsea, leading to the decision to sack coach Enzo Maresca in January. He has two years left on his contract with Chelsea, which includes winning the Club World Cup and UEFA Conference League in 2025.
