He admitted that he did not heed the advice of the late Nigerian football legend Stephen Keshi, who had warned him to maintain a calm lifestyle and avoid distractions.

Keshi advised Esin to focus on stabilizing his life and to be cautious in his relationships, particularly with women. Esin acknowledged that his lifestyle choices, including partying and dating multiple women without understanding the implications, contributed to his problems.

He recounted a specific incident where he was unaware that a girl he was involved with was underage, which worsened his situation. Esin's promising football career was cut short due to these lifestyle issues, which he now recognizes as critical lessons learned too late.
