Reece James Signs Six-Year Chelsea Contract Until 2032

Reece James has officially signed a new six-year contract with Chelsea FC, which will keep him at Stamford Bridge until 2032. The 26-year-old, a product of Chelsea's academy, made his senior debut in September 2019 and has become a key figure for the club.

His previous contract was set to expire in 2028, but the club moved to secure a fresh term early. James is now the highest-paid player at Chelsea, earning approximately £250,000 per week.

He has made 225 appearances for Chelsea and has been a regular presence in the first team during the current Premier League season. Despite battling injuries, including a recent surgery in December 2023 to address recurring hamstring issues, James has lifted several major honors with the club, including the UEFA Champions League in 2021.

He was appointed captain three years ago and aims to secure a place in the England national football team squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup after missing the last two tournaments due to injury.
