President Bola Tinubu of Nigeria recently boasted about anti-corruption efforts, but concerns remain about transparency. Despite claims of progress, official corruption persists at various levels.

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) Chairman Musa Aliyu highlighted the lack of Transparency Units in 92 government agencies. Nigeria was also flagged by the United States Department of State for limited fiscal policy progress.
