REGALINS: Regency Alliance Insurance Appoints New Directors

Regency Alliance Insurance Plc (REGALINS) has notified the Nigerian Exchange Limited of the appointment of new executive and non-executive directors, originally made at a board meeting held on January 30, 2024. The appointments were ratified at the company's Annual General Meeting on October 31, 2024, and were subsequently approved by the National Insurance Commission.

The board now comprises ten members. Mr. Olabode Oseni was appointed Managing Director, with Mrs. Anu Shobo, Mr. Tunde Alao, and Mr. Akin Omodele appointed as Executive Directors covering Corporate Services, Finance and Corporate Planning, and Technical Operations respectively. Four Non-Executive Directors were also appointed: Mrs. Comfort Otegbeye, HRM Oba Francis Alao, Dr. Sammy Olaniyi, and Mr. Kehinde Oyadiran. Mr. Chief Wale Taiwo, SAN, serves as Acting Chairman, while Mr. Donald James Etim holds the role of Independent Non-Executive Director.

The filing also noted that, in compliance with an NGX directive requiring separation of the Company Secretary role from that of an Executive Director, management has commenced the process of separating the two offices as they relate to Mrs. Anu Shobo's appointment, with a target completion date of on or before August 31, 2026.
