Tottenham Appoints Roberto De Zerbi as New Head Coach

Tottenham Hotspur has confirmed the appointment of Roberto De Zerbi as their new men's head coach, subject to work permit approval. This decision comes as the club sits 17th in the league table, just one point above the relegation zone, with seven fixtures remaining in the season.

De Zerbi replaces Igor Tudor, who had a brief tenure of just 44 days. The 46-year-old coach has outlined his immediate and long-term objectives, emphasizing the need to build a team capable of achieving great success while playing an exciting style of football.

Johan Lang, the club's sport director, praised De Zerbi as the top managerial target, highlighting his experience at the highest level, including a successful spell at Brighton & Hove Albion, where he led the club to a sixth-place finish in 2023, their highest league position. This marks De Zerbi's ninth role as a head coach and his return to English football after his time at Brighton and Shakhtar Donetsk.
