Kebbi State Government Pays ₦1.86bn in Gratuity and Death Benefits to Retired Personnel

The Kebbi State Government, under the leadership of Governor Nasir Idri, has approved the payment of ₦1.86 billion in gratuity and death benefits to retired and deceased personnel in the state civil service. The payments, authorized by Head of Service Malami Shekar and Director of Administration Rashidu Muhammad Bala, are being disbursed in two phases.

The first phase, spanning from March 16 to June 15, 2025, saw a total of ₦933,028,860.33 paid to 404 beneficiaries. The second phase, covering the period from June 16 to September 15, 2025, disbursed ₦932,948,801.39 to 443 beneficiaries.

This initiative aims to provide relief to the families of retired and deceased workers, reflecting a people-centered leadership approach. Governor Nasir Idri's administration is committed to ensuring that no worker's family is abandoned in retirement or death, emphasizing the government's moral obligation to honor those who served diligently in Kebbi State.
