Katsina State Settles N45.8bn Life, Death Benefits for 14,560 Retirees and Workers

The Katsina State Government has disbursed N45.8 billion to settle life and death benefits for 14,560 retirees and workers. Governor Dikko Umaru Radda disclosed this during the final tranche of a N21 billion settlement.

The payments cover state and local government workers from 2019 to 2025, aiming to eliminate administrative bottlenecks and restore public confidence in the pension system. The state has also inaugurated the Katsina State Pension Bureau and Pension Transit Board to ensure the smooth implementation of the new pension scheme.
