Late Northern Senator's Remains Repatriated to Nigeria from India

The late Senator Godiya Akwashiki's body has been brought back to Nigeria from India, where he passed away after battling a prolonged illness. Political dignitaries, including Sadiq Gombi and Adewole Adebayo, were present to receive his remains at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.

Akwashiki, a prominent figure in Nasarawa State politics, served as a senator and held leadership positions in various committees. His death has been described as a significant loss to the state and its people.

Funeral arrangements are underway as tributes pour in for the late senator.
