Remo Stars FC has announced their intention to rebuild after suffering relegation from the Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL) following a 1-1 draw against Bendel Insurance FC in Benin City. The match saw Remo Stars take the lead through experienced striker Victor Mbaoma just before halftime.

However, the situation changed dramatically when Chijiok Akuneto equalized for Bendel Insurance in deep stoppage time. This draw confirmed Remo Stars' relegation, as they finished the season with only 47 points from 38 games.
