FAAC Reports N18.72tn Revenue, N12.59tn Disbursed in 2026

The Gross Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) reported that in the first half of 2026, it generated a gross revenue of N18.72 trillion, with actual disbursements totaling N12.59 trillion, representing 67% of the total revenue. The remaining N6.13 trillion was allocated for savings, interventions, refunds, transfers, and collection costs.

Lagos State was the largest recipient, receiving N477.05 billion, while Nasarawa State received the least at N72.78 billion. Statutory revenue contributed N13.95 trillion (75%) to the total gross revenue, with Value Added Tax (VAT) contributing N4.77 trillion (25%).

Year-on-year, distributable revenue increased by 24.4% from N10.12 trillion in H1 2025 to N12.59 trillion in H1 2026. The federal government received N4.57 trillion, the states shared N4.47 trillion, and local councils received N3.13 trillion.

Deductions for the period totaled N6.13 trillion, with savings and interventions accounting for the largest shares.
