Report: 32 Fossil Fuel Firms Responsible for Half of Global CO2 Emissions

The report by InfluenceMap highlights that 32 fossil fuel companies are accountable for 50% of global carbon dioxide emissions, indicating a concerning trend in climate change. African and South American companies contribute less than 4% each to global emissions, while Asian companies stand out with a significant 31.9% contribution.

Saudi Aramco and ExxonMobil are identified as major polluters, with Saudi Aramco exporting 1.7 billion tons of CO2. The report criticizes these companies for obstructing climate action and emphasizes the challenges in reducing emissions to meet the Paris Agreement goals.
